What learning materials do you use?
We work with our own learning materials shared with you via Google Drive or by email.
Our materials are up-to-date and in line with current events and life in Russia.
Before each lesson, your teacher will select and personalise your learning materials according to your own interests and preferences.
Recent videos, internet ressources, audio files, news articles, our teachers always try to engage you as much as possible throughout the course.
What learning platform do you use?
Lessons are given through the ZOOM conferencing platform. All you need is a reliable internet connection, and a laptop, tablet or smartphone, preferably with headset.
We recommend that you attend the lessons in a quiet environment so that you can be 100% focused on your course.
How will you assess my Russian language level?
Before you join the course, you will have a short ZOOM video interview with our academic coordinator so that we understand your level precisely.
If you haven't studied Russian for a while, don't worry, we will adapt your course accordingly.
How will my online course be designed?
Your online course will be supervised by one of our academic coordinators, who will design a structured personal study plan just for you.
You will be assigned one or multiple teachers during the course, depending on your learning style and needs.
If you have any question about the course structure, or the teacher(s) you were assigned to, you can always easily contact your academic coordinator.
Our primary objective is to ensure that you get the most of your online learning experience with us.
We do our best to create the fastest path for you to achieve language fluency and communicate in Russian with confidence.
What if I don't like a teacher or if I would like to have lessons with another teacher?
If for any reason, you don't like the teacher you were assigned to or if you want to try another teacher during your course, please contact your academic coordinator. We will switch you to another teacher for your next lesson.
Will my online course include homework?
During your course, your teacher will monitor your progress through regular tests and homework assessments.
You should expect about one hour of homework for each lesson booked.
Note that the correction time is already included in the lesson price, you won't have any additional costs to pay for the homework preparation and correction.
I don't have time for homework between lessons, is it a problem?
No please just notify your academic coordinator or teacher, and we will design your course accordingly.
I am an absolute beginner in Russian language. How will I communicate with my teacher during the first lessons?
Your academic coordinator will select your teacher accordingly, you don't have to worry. We have an extensive experience of teaching Russian to participants of all countries, languages and levels. During the lessons, Russian is the main language used, even for beginner participants. However teachers will sometimes give explanations in your own language or in English for better understanding.
Will I receive a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes upon completion of the course, we will send you a course certificate with assessment of your language skills according to the official Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
If you book a couse with the online TRKI exam and pass the exam successfully, we will mail your TRKI certificate directly to your home address.
What are your payment methods?
You can pay by credit card (or via your PayPal account if you have one) through the PayPal payment platform. Prices are fixed in Euros but, you can also choose to pay in your own currency if you prefer. Just select your currency on the payment page. For corporate clients, we also offer payment via SWIFT international bank transfers. Send us a request at online@exlinguo.com and we will send your invoice with all the necessary information.
What is the rescheduling/cancellation policy?
You can reschedule or cancel any lesson at least 12 hours ahead the initial planned time. After that, or if you don't show up, the lesson will be counted as taken.
What is the Exlinguo Money Back Guarantee?
If for whatever reason you are not satisfied after your first two lessons, we will send you a full refund of the paid lesson package (minus PayPal sending fees - about 4%).
