I spent the most useful and interesting two months at the Exlinguo centres in Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg. I felt that my time at the schools allowed my Russian language skills to progress as quickly and well as they possibly could, and I had a great time exploring both cities and experiencing Russian culture first hand. Not only are the teachers excellent, interesting and professional, but the host families are incredibly lovely, caring and friendly! I look forward to coming back again!!
The classrooms are clean and neat, equipped with up-to-date tools. Learning materials are well thought-out. The teachers are very friendly and helpful...Exlinguo provides us with an ideal environment to learn a foreign language. Thanks to Exlinguo, I made a considerable progress in Russian in 4 weeks. It was really a nice experience to live and study in Novosibirsk!
Learning Russian in Novosibirsk in Winter was a wonderful experience. The city requires you to speak Russian, unlike in Moscow. It is a wonderful place! The city is welcoming and dynamic - there is plenty to do and the teachers are always willing to offer suggestions (that is, if there already wasn't something arranged on the cultural schedule). It is a cosy and familial school setting and the teachers are wonderful. We had such a lovely New Year's celebration together - thank you for making it memorable and so wonderful!
Friendly and at the same time professional atmosphere
I was happy to return to Exlinguo Novosibirsk after spending several months in the center three years ago. The language center and its employees are (still) fabulous and snow-covered Novosibirsk in the winter is a unique experience. I would definitely recommend this school to anybody who wants to improve his or her Russian language skills in a very friendly and at the same time professional atmosphere. I will be back for sure!
Fantastic tutors, wonderful location, great course!
An excellent experience from start to finish. I came with high expectations which were met and duly exceeded! Highly professional and friendly staff who really care about their students’ needs and abilities, working in a comfortable, modern facility right in the town centre. I was treated to the best of Russian hospitality by my delightful host family, and was able to take part in a wide variety of extracurricular activities in and around the local area. They even arranged private balalaika lessons for me! I had intended to return to Britain directly, following the completion of my course, but I found that I was instilled with such confidence and enthusiasm that I decided to stay and travel around the Russian Federation for another month. Having gone from not being able to speak any Russian whatsoever, to holding extended conversations with a variety of strangers from the furthest reaches of Russia, after eight short weeks, I am very impressed with the exceptional work of ExLinguo. I would gladly recommend this course to anyone. Quite frankly, this is the best way to learn Russian. I will certainly be back!
I didn't quite know what to expect when I started, but ended up being incredibly impressed. The entire experience is very polished: lessons were excellent with small class sizes, and with the teachers even tailoring worksheets to my interests (eg economics) without me even having to ask; the centre was well located and very comfortable, and staff offered me a great deal of help with finding things to do in Novosibirsk/the surrounding area; evening activities were great, and the family I stayed with were really fantastic. I would recommend the centre to anyone, and am hoping to come back sometime in the future!
I was amazed by the high quality of the course for very good value, however short my stay was. Overall a great experience, which will leave good memories and the motivation to carry on. Will definitely stay in touch. And, hopefully one day come back with my children (perhaps a children's language course and day activities centre. ;-) Thank you very much!. I had an excellent experience studying Russian at Exlinguo in Novosibirsk. The lessons were varied, well structured, engaging and fun. The teachers were enthusiastic and dedicated. The school organized a range of extra-curricular activities that allowed us to see places in Novosibirsk and the area. I would definitely recommend it!
I would recommend Exlinguo to anyone who wants to learn the Russian language and about Russian culture. The faculty at the center does a wonderful job of tailoring their instruction to the needs of their students and creating cultural activities that expand the students' knowledge of the history and customs of Russia. Furthermore, the staff ensures that the accommodations meet and exceed the expectations of their students and are able to answer any questions about the city that the student may have about where to go and what to do while in Novosibirsk. I would gladly enroll for another 8 weeks.
This was my 2nd stay at Exlinguo, the first in Novosibirsk. I highly recommend this school. In Novosibirsk a full immersion into the Russian language is guaranteed. Here you will find very skilled, young and friendly teachers with a passion for their profession. They get the best out of you. I successfully passed the TRKI 1 exam and now I am very motivated to move towards level B2/TRKI 2. I hope to be back soon, either in SPB or NSB. Thank you for everything!
The whole experience at ExLinguo has been unique. The program allows students to learn efficiently the language and become quickly familiar and comfortable with the surroundings. The team is very professional, highly knowledgeable, always enthusiastic and willing to bend over backwards in order to always assist and accommodate students in the every need. The program offers a well balanced mix of academic courses, tutorials and discovery activities to fully impregnate oneself of the city life and authentic Russian culture. After two weeks times, I left with a great deal of knowledge and an irrepressible desire to return to Siberia so I could pursue the fantastic learning adventure of understanding better Russians and grasping more of their beautiful language.
My experience at Exlinguo was superb from start to finish. My initial communication with Sylvain was friendly and efficient. Everything was brilliantly organized and my time with the host family was really positive. The language facilities were really good. We were all really well looked after throughout the whole experience. The teaching was exceptional - it was carefully tailored to my needs. I've left really inspired to up the pace on my language studies and can't wait to spend more time at Exlinguo in Novosibirsk.
I love studying languages and have foreign language majors at a university. With that as a beginning I can honestly say that the level of instruction, pedagogy, and personal interest of the teachers at Exlinguo is better than the university experience. The courses at Exlinguo are interesting and modern, the handouts and supporting materials are professional, and the interactions with the instructors are dynamic and fun. Instructors make or break a language school; they set the tone, pull you through your tired moments, and motivate you to push harder to achieve your goals. The wonderful instructors at Exlinguo are better than the rest and exceed all expectations. They are highly trained in the craft of Russian as a Second Language and take great interest in their students. I was in Novosibirsk for four (short) weeks and enjoyed every minute at the language school. At the end of every class I was amazed that time passed so easily. While I had clear goals in mind for this trip, I can see myself coming back next January just for the fun of it. To my teachers, the staff, and everyone at Exlinguo, Thank You!

Everything was first class, from your prompt response to my initial inquiry to my final report and the presentation of my certificate on my final day! All the teachers were excellent and highly-motivated. I have returned to England with improved Russian, but also with some great new ideas about how to improve my Russian going forward.The accommodation was excellent, too.
I decided to challenge myself by learning Russian from scratch. I had always been fascinated by Russia and the Russian language so when back home I came across a former student of Exlinguo NSK, it got me wondering: why not me? He spoke very highly of the school and the teachers so I enrolled myself for a 4-week stay in Siberia. The school is perfectly located and well-equipped, the teachers are very professional and yet know when to have a laugh with us and Sasha from reception is very helpful. It does not get any better than that! And because there are not many tourists in NSK, you will feel special and welcome everywhere you go. I chose this city because it is much less European than SPB (or Moscow) and has this Siberian vibe its inhabitants are so proud of. There is heaps of parks, cafes, restaurants and bars to cater for everyone and the nightlife will content the young and the young at heart. To put it in a nutshell, Exlinguo NSK is a great school with amazing teachers in an awesome city! Спасибо за все!
This is a language school that I definitely recommend! I spent eight weeks in the Exlinguo center in Novosibirsk during the autumn and improved immensely. The best thing was that I had fun every step of the way and made many memories that I can look fondly back at. The teachers were encouraging and kind and did a lot to help me get over my fear of speaking a foreign language less than perfectly. They also made me feel like I was in good hands since they followed my progress closely and let me know if there was something I really needed to work on. In the end, I couldn't help but think that this is how languages should be taught. The girl in the reception was always more than ready to help and just needs to be mentioned for the many great things she does. If I ever have the chance to, I'll be coming back. And for anyone wondering if they should go during the autumn, I say: Do it! For the love of golden leaves, hot chocolate and festivals, do it!
This is the perfect place to study Russian. The course is intense but the atmosphere is very friendly. The teachers are very professional. They help you to gain confidence speaking a range of useful topics and are most patient and understanding of the problems that beginners face learning a language. Groups are small so everyone participates. It is impossible not to improve! The Centre is extremely well equipped for learning and the coffee area is great for socialising with the other students. The range of extra-curricular activities is exceptionally varied and I attended all of them from doll-making, to cooking, to visiting museums and art galleries, to a BBQ by the lake, and visiting a school to name just a few. My “family” was the perfect choice for me – very friendly, fantastic meals, lovely room and in a great location. Novosibirsk is a very modern, cultured city with lots of activities to suit all tastes. With a transport system that makes it easy to get around, lots of good cafes and restaurants, excellent theatres and concert halls, beautiful tree-lined boulevards and well maintained parks and gardens it is a really lovely, and very safe, place to visit. To summarise:- excellent course, outstanding tutors, superb facilities, wonderful extra-curricular activities, lovely family, incredible city! - I’ll be back!
This schoolhouse is amazing. It clearly exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had the best instruction possible. In just two weeks I went from not been able to communicate, to now have a basic conversation. My listening improved as well as my grammar and vocabulary. The Host Family, Teachers and administration were all well synchronized. Every aspect of the contract was entirely fulfilled. I am very excited to have found this center (Novosibirsk). I enjoyed my stay, learnt a ton, and will be back next summer for more. This is really a full immersion Russian Language Program.

The teachers are careful to assess each student's needs and to provide materials to deal with any gaps in knowledge. I completed the B1 examination and I am likely to return again to Novosibirsk to do the B2.
No matter whether you are a beginner or an advanced student of the Russian language, the perfect place for you will be Exlinguo in either Novosibirsk or St Petersburg. As a matter of fact, I was so impressed with my course that I have already decided to return to the school in order to pursue my Russian studies as soon as I will get an occasion. The teachers are fantastic and they do their outermost to adapt to your specific needs. So if you want to learn Russian, this is definitely the place for you.
Studying at Exlinguo Novosibirsk was an amazing and unforgettable experience. It was my first trip to Russia and my first experience at a language school. So, I was definitely a little nervous and had no idea what to expect. I greatly appreciate the very warm welcome that I received from everyone at Exlinguo and the host family that I was placed with. The location is great and the school has everything you may need to be successful with your studies. All of the instructors are excellent! Everyone is very organized and professional. I much appreciated the patience they showed to me and the other students. When there was something we did not understand, they would always take the time to answer all of our questions and explain it in another way so that we get it. They are very passionate about what they do and it shows in their language instruction as well as cultural activities and individual lessons. Throughout my course I saw a great improvement in both my reading, listening, and speaking abilities. I also gained a deeper appreciation for the culture and the language. Overall, I was more than impressed with the whole program and I look forward to returning and continuing my studies with Exlinguo.
I have rarely studied in such a professional environment such as Exlinguo. Having studied at prestigious universities such as the imperial college in London, I am used to high standard. Exlinguo easily upholds such a standard. I was first of all amazed at the equipment ranging from the Mac-PC’s, to the digital boards, the availability of coffee and tea and the cleanliness, which to be honest impressed me the most.
What I further enjoyed was the multiple teachers that I dealt with. I enjoyed learning from different people. Also when my teacher changed, I was more than glad to see, that a well-documented handover was done, which did not result in the same topics been taught twice. This point applies also to the Tutorat, which was conducted in the same way.
The last point is definitely a point I cannot make by myself but am sharing as part of my experience. My colleagues and friends who had visited other language schools in Russia, all told me, that this school was by far the best they had attended in Russia and surroundings. These included stories from students having spent time in language schools in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kiev. It seems indeed comparatively you have a great product.
