Exlinguo staff are extremely welcoming and professional in their approach, and they can also be flexible to the needs of different students. Having studied various continuing education topics for professional development at various schools, I have rarely been treated to such a hardworking and effective bunch of people.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two week course in Novosibirsk. The teaching was well paced and pitched at the appropriate level. Teachers themselves were knowledgeable and had high expectations of students' work. Materials were abundant and supported teaching effectively. The combination of group and individual lessons provided balance and afforded opportunities for both conversation and clarification of specific aspects of grammar. I made very positive progress in a short space of time and am now inspired to accelerate my language acquisition. I can recommend Exlinguo without hesitation.

I really recommend Exlinguo Novosibirsk
I spent three weeks at Exlinguo in Novosibirsk and I can say that it has been an amazing experience. As far as I can tell, Siberia is a beautiful region of Russia (and also very extended, that means there are a million things to see) and the people are very friendly. The school is very well-organised and the teachers are highly qualificated to make you learn as much as possible, the lessons are varying in order to do different activities and never get bored. The city is just amazing, so lively, modern, young, it's the perfect place for a student, you can find everything in Novosibirsk. What's even better, is the fact that you immediately feel comfortable in the city just after a couple of days, and that helps a lot, especially if it's the first time in Russia. I would come back to Novosibirsk a million times, and I really recommend Exlinguo Novosibirsk not only because the school is extraordinary and so is the city, but because if you want a real full immersion into Russia and Russian culture, this is absolutely the right place.
The quality of teaching staff is its stand out feature
Exlinguo exceeded my expectations. In my opinion the quality of teaching staff is its stand out feature. all the teachers clearly enjoy and are talented at their jobs, and as a result the lessons they create are always engaging, structured and enjoyable. I found that the course content and groups were constantly adjusted to fit the needs of the pupils. Overall I felt I got value for money, improved hugely and most importantly I had a great time! I would definitely recommend it and will be going back next year.
Exlinguo really enabled me to experience the cities
I spent 5 weeks at Exlinguo this summer, spending three in St Petersburg and then two in Novosibirsk, and I honestly was so impressed. Right from registering, the organisation and communication was excellent, which made the whole process really easy. Starting the course with very basic Russian, I was really impressed with how my teachers encouraged me and therefore how much I realised I was able to say. Speaking was a key component in all classes at both centres, and because of the really small class sizes I was able to very quickly improve my speaking and listening skills. The teaching was also really personal and so much thought was put into the organisation of the teaching groups that you always felt supported and that you were improving. On arrival in Novosibirsk the handover was flawless, with my lessons picking right up where I had stopped in St Petersburg, enabling my Russian to keep improving without a gap. Studying in both centres enabled me to see much more of Russia and its great variety. Both cities have so much to offer and the activities offered by Exlinguo really enabled me to experience the cities. I also stayed with two lovely host families in both cities, which was another great way to experience Russian culture, whilst reinforcing what I had learnt at school. I’m planning to return next year and I would highly recommend this course. Thank you!
The atmosphere of the school is excellent
I stayed in Novosibirsk for 3 weeks. I decided to buy this course because I have been studied Russian at University for 4 years, but we never practiced oral production. So I didn't feel comfortable talking Russian, and this blocked me. After only 3 weeks I can say that I reached what I wanted. Now I can talk fast and fluently without problems. Of course I make mistakes but I can say that I understang everything and everyone understood me without problems. For this reason I am very satisfied. I reached a B1+/B2- level. The atmosphere of the school is excellent. The teachers also. And the city beautiful. This experience of "travel&study" was the best one that I had done so far. I highly reccomend it.
The experience far exceeded my expectations
I studied at Exlinguo Novosibirsk for two weeks in June. The experience far exceeded my expectations, some of which were formed from experience learning at a different company's school in the past. From the initial stage of enrolling online / via email, to being picked up at the airport, through to the finishing ceremony, I found all of the Exlinguo staff and teachers to be very professional, friendly, and helpful. My learning was a good balance of group lessons, tutorials, and private lessons, and I never got bored. The after-school excursions were well thought through and planned, and I found them interesting and a refreshing change of pace after lessons, while still contributing to learning Russian. The environment at the school with the teachers and other students was motivating and helped encourage me to study more Russian. My homestay family was very kind, and their apartment was a short walk from the school. Since returning to my country I am studying Russian myself even more now, motivated by my experience in Novosibirsk. I very much would like to go back to the city and to study again at Exlinguo.
The teachers are kind, attentive, and encouraging
I have worked with Exlinguo twice: once in Novosibirsk and once in Saint Petersburg. As a serious student of Russian with the goal of professional fluency (I now work in Saint Petersburg) I highly recommend Exlinguo. Classes are small and are personalized to students' interests. The company's discussion-based approach, combined with grammatical exercises, is highly effective for comprehension and retension of Russian. I found the administration to be admirably accommodating an professional, while the teachers are kind, attentive, and encouraging. I certainly plan to return to Exlinguo when possible!
They know how to focus on each student
I'd like to thank all the teachers and administrative staff at Exlinguo for an excellent experience at their school in Novosibirsk. The teachers don't follow a script, they know how to focus on each student, identifying what areas they need to work on, and proactively adjusting their classes, teaching materials and style in order to achieve good results for each student. The school is also brilliantly organized in all non-teaching aspects: facilities are excellent, they organize frequent activities, and provide assistance with accommodation and transfers if needed. All in all, it is easy to recommend them to anybody wanting to learn Russian. Novosibirsk is a surprisingly pleasant city, what it lacks in tourist attractions, it makes up in cultural activities and quality of life.
Exlinguo Novosibirsk has a real family vibe
Studying at Exlinguo Novosibirsk for 2 months was a real joy. All of the teaching and administrative staff were positive and upbeat everyday, and always available to assist either with questions on coursework or on exploring Novosibirsk and its environs. Classes everyday were presented creatively. Modern materials were used, so it was easy for us to see how what we were learning in class can be applied to daily communication. All of the activities arranged were varied, from sleighing with huskies to building a real igloo! Despite what level of Russian students began their course with, everyone made a real effort to communicate in Russian, and it was amazing to see students’ confidence in using Russian grow over the weeks. Exlinguo Novosibirsk has a real family vibe - it’s impossible to leave there without having made new friends.
I strongly recommend the school
I spent three weeks in St. Petersburg and three weeks in Novosibirsk studying with Exlinguo this Winter. Overall, I have nothing but glowing reviews. From day one at the school, I felt incredibly welcome and the staff were still able to immerse me in the language despite my starting at A0+. After only one day, I already began to feel comfortable communicating in Russian. This was with the help of the teachers, who were nothing but amazing at making the students feel comfortable and involved while studying Russian. The communication classes are primarily focused on speaking and actively communicating and each lesson introduces new grammatical features, providing a step-by-step approach to learning the language. Each day, I was able to apply the new grammatical features I had learnt in order to convey myself more confidently. Immersion allows the student to practically absorb new vocabulary and phrases in a way that is incomparable to studying and memorising out of a book. It is for this reason that I strongly recommend Exlinguo to people seriously wanting to learn how to communicate in Russian (quickly). I was able to reach A1+/A2- in only six weeks, giving me a fantastic foundation to continue my independent study of the language back home. My level of confidence in communication is not something I could have accomplished purely through self-study. Behind the scenes, the school runs like clockwork. The organisation of my visa, accomodation, lessons, school activities, and more was dealt with quickly and without inconvenience. Any problem you may have is, quite literally, dealt with the second you communicate them; the staff makes it very clear that they truly care about adapting to what works best for the student. This (alongside the delicious cookies and tea provided) makes coming to the school five days a week a pleasure. Aside from the school itself, I stayed with a host family both in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. This not only allowed me to practice my Russian outside of class, but also experience how Russians live, which I consider an important part of immersion. Plus, coming home to a family providing home-cooked meals, conversation, and even pets (under request) was very comforting for someone like me, who has little experience being away from home. Having a host family allowed me to form connections with Russians and even form friendships, which is priceless to me. All in all, my experience with both Exlinguo schools proved to not only be extremely beneficial for my Russian language skills, but it also made me feel comfortable in the country of Russia. For this reason, I strongly recommend the school to anyone wanting to learn Russian through immersion.
You can always get teaching tailored to your needs
This is my third time at the school in Novosibirsk. The teachers are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The school is small, hospitable and you can always get teaching tailored to your needs. The social events and tutorials in the afternoons provide additional help and stimulation. The administrator was always willing to help with any requests, including booking trains and hotels/hostels for weekend trips. My accommodation was very comfortable and my hostess kind and communicative.
The group sessions were dynamic and always fun
My month at ExLinguo Novosibirsk exceeded my expectations in every respect. Having lived among expats in Moscow for two years, I was looking for an immersive environment that would push my Russian to the next level. In Novosibirsk it was possible to escape English for a month, in addition to discovering a new side to Russian culture. My teachers were among the best I've had of any subject anywhere - their delivery, energy and patience meant that the intensity of the course was quite comfortable. I felt myself making measurable progress each week, which was so satisfying. I was amazed that this level of progress was sustainable. The group sessions were dynamic and always fun, and the learning materials have provided me with a great reference tool. My personal highlight was staying with my host family, who propelled me over numerous delicious breakfasts, dinners and weekend trips to achieving my goal of spontaneous conversation. A 10/10 experience, thank you ExLinguo!
The facility and staff are outstanding
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend exlinguo for learning Russian. The approach is intense and it really works. Before the course, my speaking and comprehension were at "survival" level but after just 3 weeks I was able to have conversations with my host family and Russian friends. The facility and staff are outstanding - and exceeded my expectations - any time there was a problem or a request, the girls were straight away ready to work through everything. If anyone reading this is wondering about the value for money or quality then my advise is don't hesitate - sign up. My only question I had when I finished was when can I return for another course.
All the teachers have been very committed
I spent 5 fantastic weeks at Exlinguo, 2 in Saint Petersburg and 3 in Novosibirsk. After 3 years of individual lessons out of Russia this experience proved to be ground breaking for my purposes. All the teachers have been very committed to supporting my advancements and they helped me a great deal to get closer to Russian culture, philosophy and ideas. All the materials provided to me were not randomly chosen but specifically tailored to my interests, fruit of an incredible back-office work. The really astonishing element of my time at Exlinguo was the feeling of being completely integrated in a community made up of other students, host families and teachers. All the extra-curricular activities, the lunch and dinner chats, the cultural happenings in the cities....everything went beyond my most optimistic expectations and I am looking forward to repeat this journey once again! A great immersion experience with really good teachers
I would highly recommend the ExLinguo Russian training at the Novosibirsk centre. I was also surprised how much I enjoyed the cold climate and walking to the school each morning through the snow lined streets. It was a great immersion experience with really good teachers and a great fellow learners! I can't wait to get back and carry on where I left off.
I cannot wait to practice my spoken Russian
I spent eight weeks at Exlinguo in Novosibirsk, and truly believe that there is no way that I would have improved as quickly in any other setting. Before the course I could barely string two sentences together without making grammatical mistakes, and always dreaded having to speak. Now, I cannot wait to practice my spoken Russian more and hone it further! The teachers at the school are real experts in their field, and their tailored lessons helped me to fill the many gaps I had in my grammatical knowledge. Although Russian grammar is hard, by the mid point of the course it was like a switch had been flicked in my brain, and by the end it felt as if every piece of the jigsaw puzzle was falling into place! Exlinguo has given me lasting positive memories of Russia and of Siberia in particular, and I really hope that I will be able to return in the future.
The course in Novosibirsk is incredibly personable
Exlinguo is one of the most professional organisations I have ever used in order to facilitate my own private learning. I was apprehensive when I first searched on Google for a great course to supplement my Russian (as I moved to Russia for work). The staff were a joy to communicate with and the whole process before arrival was fantastic. It is important to mention that the tutors and teachers employed are the heart and soul of the course, they truly go beyond what is expected to welcome you and make you feel settled in. The course in Novosibirsk is incredibly personable and feels more of a family environment which makes it a pleasure to be there. The extra excursions to Krasnoyarsk and Lake Baikal were well worth it and turned the trip to Siberia to one I will look back on with memories for a lifetime. I normally read testimonials with a pinch of salt when it comes to companies I have not heard of before, but they deserve their glowing praise. This is one of the rare times I have actually wanted to write one as I feel the staff need to know how much I valued my time there as well as wanted others to have the confidence to take the plunge. I am very much considering a further trip in the not so distant future when work and life next allow. Thank you.
At any level, students are pushed, encouraged
I was in Russia for over two months and can't recall all the valuable moments because there were so many. But I think that both schools really pushed to help you with anything you needed. I had some personal issues to deal with in both cities and received so much support and help from both. I can't thank everyone enough. For anyone interested in learning Russian, this is the course/school to attend. At any level, students are pushed, encouraged and invited to enrich themselves with the surrounding Russian culture and language. What better place to learn, than in Russia? I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and have already planned my return. Hope to see you here!
The organisation runs like clockwork
I have nothing but praise for Exlinguo! After a three-week stint last year, I returned to St Petersburg this year for another three weeks and added a week in Novosibirsk for yet another fabulous experience. All communication with the school is swift and to the point - the organisation runs like clockwork. Being in an eclectic group of Russian learners makes for a stimulating environment, all enhanced by very attentive teachers who know how to blend the interests and ambitions of the students. The lessons were demanding yet satisfying, and at times so animated and absorbing that nobody knew where the time had gone. The lessons were well thought through;the written material was at times even tailored to our personal situation as to prompt us to speak about our lives and reality. An indication of how good the school is can be seen by the number of students who return. Of the dozen or so students I met last year, three were back this year - all equally impressed by the quality of the teaching and the environment created at the school. If you want to maximise your potential to learn Russian, choose Exlinguo! If possible, I will be back!
My courses were well-structured and demanding
The Exlinguo program in Novosibirsk is simply excellent. If you are on the fence, do it! I have spent time in several immersive language institutes, in Germany and in the United States. Exlinguo is as good as, or better than, all that I have experienced. I especially appreciated the combination of fun and rigor. The staff create a very pleasant, productive environment in and out of the classroom. Small class sizes allowed me to form a real relationship with the teachers. Breaks and extracurricular excursions become opportunities to continue conversations and "test drive" new vocabulary. The administrative staff in the center were charming. They were happy to provide conversation along with assistance with any logistical issues. In this pleasant environment I often stopped noticing how rigorous my learning regime was. I headed to Siberia looking for a very intense program. I was not disappointed. My courses were well-structured and demanding. With help from a wonderful host family I continued practicing my conversation skills everyday at breakfast and again at dinner. All in all a great experience.

My week at Exlinguo Novosibirsk was incredible. All staff are so friendly and welcoming. They really encourage you to use and learn Russian and their enthusiasm is infectious! My host home stay and the cultural activities also gave me an insight into Russian life and culture - rather different from London town living, but I loved it. Overall a wonderful week for me and I hope to return next year!

Thank you so much for three amazing weeks! I have tried to learn the Russian language for some years. I reached a point, after two years with Skype lessons, where I realised it would be more efficient to spend some weeks in a language school in Russia. It's a jungle of schools out there and I choose Exlinguo, as I have read the positive recommendations and the very quick and professional response I received. From my first email contact you have been very professional, always have replied quickly and provided me with all the help and information I have needed for my visa, school, host family and so on. The school was beyond my expectations. All the staff are very nice, professional and enthusiastic, the girl in the reception was especially helpful. They worked very hard to make our stay valuable and knock in the grammar, new words, sentences, Russian culture, history, music and lots of other interesting subjects. They also adapted the lessons to subjects of special interest for the students. For most of the evenings during the weeks, there were special things going on for us together with the staff. There were Russian movies, Russian humor, thematic discussions, card games or making food, just to mention some. I was also very lucky with my host family; mother with two sons, who were very nice to me. The mother took me along to visit some friends of hers, invited me for lunch at a Spa resort in the forest. Her son and I played card games in the evenings, went to a concert and to the Planetarium. Novosibirsk is a very nice, friendly, modern and very safe city where it`s impossible to get bored. I walked all over the city and never faced any problems. On the contrary, the citizens were very helpful and patient with my Russian. The cultural life is super and in my spare time I went to the Opera, to a rock concert, exhibitions and museums. My plan now is to work with what I have learned during this time and go back for further lessons next year.
